The Amalie Oil InstiGator team, powered by Torco Race Fuels, spent all of September on the road. Racing, displays and appearances is what the Hoosier Thunder Motorsports team lives for. “We’ve been very busy this past month,” explained Terry McMillen, team owner and driver. “After four weeks straight on the road it was nice to get home, rest and take care of the InstiGator. We’ve given her a full physical, inside and out, she’s ready for Rockingham.”
McMillen and his crew chiefs, Tad “TV Tad” Heflick and Brent “Skinny” Lidgard spent the down time adding a new super charger and clutch format in preparation for the Universal Technical Institute World Finals, featuring the JCB Night of Fire, contested at the Rockingham Dragway, October 20-22.
“We’re prepared to throw the kitchen sink at it,” said McMillen. “We’ve got the best partners in the business. Andy [Bornstein, Amalie Oil], Evan [Knoll, Torco Racing Fuels], Mark [Adelizzi, Flatout Gaskets], John [MacQuarrie, NGK], Rob [Reeves, No Limit Custom Coach] and Roy [Griffith, Crane Cams]do so much for this team. They give us all the tools that we need to go out compete and be successful. Now we’re out to get a win for them and to solidify a top five finish for this team and all of our partners.”
The InstiGator team partners with high quality and high performance companies like; Amalie Oil, Torco Race Fuels, eRaceFuels, Flatout Gaskets, NGK Spark Plugs, MSD, Fatheadz.com, GO Graphix, Powershield Coatings, Crane Cams, eMax and No Limit Custom Coach.
Rockingham won’t be an easy ride for McMillen and his team. The InstiGator team has found Rockingham a tough track to tame. “This isn’t a game of paper, rock, gator,” said “TV Tad” Heflick. “The Rock doesn’t cancel the InstiGator. We’ve got plenty left in the tank to make a run at Rockingham.”
