Born in Chicago, IL, Terry is the team owner of Hoosier Thunder Motorsports, a multi-car drag racing team based in Elkhart, IN. Terry, a perennial IHRA fan favorite, has competed in a variety of drag racing classes including Alcohol, Nitro Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters.
In 2010 Terry began racing full-time on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing series, barely missing the Countdown to the Championship. His team entered the final race before the countdown just 20 points behind Connie Kallita’s car driven by Dave Grubnic.

- 3 Career Wins and 6 final round appearances in the last 2 IHRA seasons
- First NHRA Round Win – Antron Brown 2009 Charlotte

Terry was also the recipient of the 2005 “Sportsman of the Year”, considered by the IHRA as the highest award given.
