MORRISON, Colo. – Terry McMillen qualified his AMALIE Motor Oil Instigator Top Fuel Dragster to a season best 7th position at the Mopar Mile High Nationals near Denver, unfortunately his team couldn’t capitalize on a first round matchup with Kalitta team car driven by J.R. Todd.
“Believe it or not I think we’re really to the point where we know what this car wants and what it’s doing, we just missed it today in E1.” We ran our best numbers ever here in Denver, it’s was just a little bit disappointing that we couldn’t have better showing here for Amalie Oil and the University of Northwestern Ohio. But this is the Western Swing, so there’s no time to worry about it. We’ll just pick up from here, take what we’ve learned and try to improve on it for Sonoma next week.”
Qualifying for Sonoma begins Friday. McMillen will make an appearance on Wednesday at SWECO in Sutter, California. The public is welcome.
