Las Vegas, Nev. – During last week’s Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), the Amalie Oil Company extended its ongoing sponsorship with the NHRA Top Fuel team of Terry McMillen Racing through the 2019 NHRA racing schedule. The relationship which began in 2004 is believed to be the longest current and ongoing motorsports sponsorship.
“We’re excited about our continued relationship with Amalie,” said Terry McMillen team owner and driver. “The Amalie name has been synonymous with quality oil and lubrication since 1903 and we’re proud to play a part in their tremendous growth through 2019.”
The team expects many new changes to the program for the 2016 race season, including a name change from the INSTIGATOR while still maintaining the iconic alligator theme that has been so popular. The new theme is expected to be announced and unveiled in January.
The team has also finalized a lease agreement with Dixon Properties, LLC to move the team’s racing operations to the Brownsburg, Indiana industrial park that many other NHRA nitro teams already call home. McMillen’s AmalieStore.com oil distribution business will remain in Elkhart, Indiana and offer select oils from the Brownsburg race shop.
