Some might think about ‘March Madness’ as a term associated with college basketball. Well, for Hoosier Thunder Motorsports is the last minute mad dash to get ready for San Antonio.
In just six days the big rigs will be pulling out of Elkhart and heading towards Texas. But it’s never too late to add to the good news.
Late last week the London Free Press (London, Ontario) did a story on Paul Noakes and Les Mellows joining Hoosier Thunder (I guess that’s the “I” in IHRA – for International.). You can read the story here – Drag Racer realizes dream. Jim Cressman did a nice article on those guys.
Hats off to Jim Cressman for the nice story. Oh yeah… good work Terry, Paul and Les for saying nice things about everyone.
On another side note, this Terry, Paul and Les thing is starting to sound like a rock group or something. You know, like Peter, Paul and Mary (OK, folk group), except Les looks better than Mary. But since Mary sings better than Les, I guess he would have to play the part of “Puff” – you know the magic dragon.
Or, maybe it’s Les, Paul and Terry (get it? Les Paul the musician and the guitar.). Anyway, I smell a nickname coming for these 3 “Bandidos of the Dragway”. Ok, that wasn’t so good… Maybe Pirates of the 1320? Yeah, not so good either.
For now I guess I’ll stick with the accounting firm of T-Mac, Noakes and Mellows.
