TULSA, OK – New Breed Racing’s Alesi Gerthe will compete at her third IHRA national event of the season when she rolls into “Tulsa Town” for the Sooner Nationals at Tulsa Raceway Park, June 13-14, 2009.
Fresh off her semi-final round appearance in quick rod at the Amalie Oil Texas Nationals two weeks ago, the nineteen-year-old college student is looking forward to this event in many ways.
“We have a busy weekend in store for our team,” said Alesi. “We are scheduled to display my Wolverine sponsored dragster on Thursday afternoon at Academy in South Tulsa, and then my focus will turn to going rounds at the track. I am pleased to have the opportunity to promote this event and Wolverine.”
Their logo, the Wolverine claw, and Alesi’s charactistics are very similar, especially when it comes to the male dominated sport of drag racing. “…the wolverine’s claw. A reminder of our legacy of ferociously hard work. Symbol of confidence and courage. The claw is part of our logo. But it also stands for who you truly are. Tough. Rugged. Tenacious. Relentless. The spirit of the wolverine -and the Wolverine brand – is your spirit. The claw is your symbol. The spirit never wavers.” (www.wolverine.com)
The next race on the schedule is a divisional at Pine Valley Raceway, June 19-21, 2009.
