Hoosier Thunder Motorsports’ youngest teammate Spencer Lacy is still strong as mid season comes to a close. Spencer races out of Summit Motorsports Park and Dragway 42.
Recently Spencer and his family made the trip to Bristol Tennessee for the National Hot Rod Association Junior Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals at Bristol Dragway. His team finished fifth out of 25 teams.
Spencer took home “COOLEST CAR AWARD” of the 650 entries for Best Appearing and Engineered and All around Appearance of racing gear and crew.
Spencer is currently second in points for the Dragway 42 Junior Super Stock Track Championship, just one round from being back in first.
Spencer also has a good chance of making the Dragway 42 Bracket team finals which will take him to the IHRA Bracket Finals in Pittsburgh later this season.
The back to back to back races at Summit Motorsports Park, Bristol Dragway and Dragway 42 took it’s toll on the Lil InstiGator team, leaving the car with a broken crank shaft and damaged connecting rod. They’ll pull at the back up car for the points meet this weekend and hope repairs can be made in time for the final 4 races at Summit Motorsports Park and the 6 races left at Dragway 42.
