LAS VEGAS – Terry McMillen drove the Amalie Oil Top Fuel Dragster into a field that became tied for the fastest group of Top Fuel Dragsters in NHRA history. His 3.858 elapsed time at over 322MPH in Saturday’s fourth qualifying session would anchor the field of 16.
“We’re not making any excuses,” McMillen said shortly after his first round loss to points leader Shawn Langdon. “We’re trying to make every run count. We’re trying new combinations, trying to find a set up to run with these guys next season. We just came up short again today. That right lane proved tough for a some teams today in the first round.”
“We’ve got a lot of great marketing partners,” McMillen continued. “UNOH, All Star Performance, Genius Tools, Flatout Gaskets – so many companies invest a lot in us and I know they’re all pulling for us. We’re just trying to do the best job for them and all of the people that love this Amalie InstiGator Top Fuel Car.”
