If you’re like me you can’t believe the drag racing season is over. But that doesn’t mean that there is not a lot of drag racing going on.
Terry McMillen’s Top Fuel dragster is being featured in some Torco Race Fuels print advertising this off season (or early season depending if your glass is half full or empty). That’s pretty cool all by itself.
Something tells me that you’ll see this picture at an upcoming trade show boot or two also.
Not to be out done, Amalie Oil featured McMillen’s Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car at their booth during the APEX show in Vegas earlier this month. I wasn’t able to grab a shot of the booth since APEX doesn’t allow cameras on the convention floor, but rumor has it there is a photo floating around somewhere. You’ll see it here as soon as it finds its way to my inbox.
Torco Racing Fuels Announces the Year End Fueling the Sportsman Contest
DECATUR, Mich. – Torco Racing Fuels announced today the launch of their year end Fueling the Sportsman Contest, starting just in time for the Torco Racing Fuels President’s Cup at the Maryland International Raceway, Mechanicsville, Md., September 28 – 30.
The winner of the Fueling the Sportsman Contest will be given the option of one barrel of Torco Mach Series 110 or $200 cold hard cash. The contest will continue until the end of the 2007 racing season, but rumor has it that Torco officials are in the planning stages for a 2008 Sportsman Appreciation Contest to run the entire 2008 race season.
“This is Torco’s way of saying thank you,” said Terry McMillen, of Torco Racing Fuels. “Evan Knoll has done an outstanding job supporting drag racing in general, but he has never forgotten where he came from and this is Evan’s way of giving back to all of the Sportsman racers who have supported Torco over the years.”
